Luckily. Abby has a nice Auntie who kept her warm.

In the morning, we packed up our little group and headed for the border. Customs was a breeze - a few questions and we were on our merry way to Townsite Campground in Waterton National Park.

Along the way, we were stopped in the middle of the road by a cattle drive, complete with cattle, herding dogs, and cowboys.

Saw another grizzly, looked young. He started to come up the small embankment, and I hightailed it to the van!

We then decided to have a nice lunch in town, and stopped in a nice trendy eatery, just sitting in our booth, eating and looking trendy.

But little did we realize that Tina had forgotten her FINE ARTS MANNERS...
She toppled her glass of water and blamed it on the tablecloth. So, the waitresses come over and cleaned up the large puddle. We're now back to eating and looking trendy, if slightly embarrassed. Lo and behold, she topples yet another glass of water!

Waitresses come back and clean up this spill. One waitress then brought out Tina's THIRD glass of water - IN A SIPPY CUP!! We just about died laughing.

The view here and at The Prince of Wales Hotel are beyond description. We had all decided to experience a High Tea at the hotel. As luck would have it, it's not open yet for the season. But the views were still out of this world.

Took a late afternoon drive (which is where we actually spotted that young grizzly) up to Cameron Lake (a couple of you reading this may remember Cameron Lake).
Nan was taking her vista viewing very seriously...

Liz jumped the guardrail for a better shot...what she won't do to entertain you all!

So, all in all, a GREAT day. Hopefully, many more still to come.
Miss you and love you.
Everyone's in coats except Nan...that's one tough lady!! LOL! Thanks for checking in, I'm sure it was tough having to sit in a bar to do it! ROFLMAO!

Too funny Mitch! (and how neat to have a waiter with a sense of humor!)
ReplyDeleteWe spent some time in Jasper and Banff, plus Calgary (ate at the Mounted Police Museum there). We LOVE Canada and all things Canadian, and I would go back in a minute. I envy your great adventure trip, and enjoy your posts.
