Liz and I enjoyed some good and healthy meals at The Blue Marlin before taking off for Alaska.
And now - Tuesday - we've made it as far as Marysville KS. Decided to stay an extra day for rest and to allow Tina to catch up with us. Laundry was the order of the day.
Marysville is the home of the first Pony Express stopping point.
In honor of Tina joining the group and driving so long and hard to catch us, Liz decided to make a spaghetti dinner in her honor...Liz did the spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread, Nan baked two scrumptious pies, and I provided the salad. Everything was so good! Here is Liz harvesting some fresh basil and rosemary for her pasta sauce.
